The Light Hunt
Twelve lights are hidden around the park — six of them through Vendor Row. Find them all, collect the Scripture each one carries, unlock nine shareable badges, and pour 2,500 Light Points into Revive the City.
How it works
- 1Walk the park and look for Jesus Festival QR codes near the places people gather.
- 2Point your camera at one and tap the link — a lamp lights up right here.
- 3Each light gives you a verse and 150 Light Points for the city.
- 4Six of the twelve are hidden through Vendor Row, so take your time in the market.
- 5Find all twelve to unlock all nine badges — including Light Bearer — and share them anywhere.
No signal at the park? No problem. Your lamps save on this phone and your points reach the city the moment you get a bar back.

What is the Jesus Festival Light Hunt?
A free QR-code scavenger hunt hidden around Gage Park during Jesus Festival in Hamilton. Twelve codes — six of them among the vendor booths — each carry a Bible verse, light a lamp in the festival app, and add Light Points to Revive the City.
Do I need to download an app to play the Light Hunt?
No. Scanning a code with your phone camera opens the Light Hunt in your browser. Your lamps and badges save on your phone, and it keeps working even with no signal in the park.
What do you win in the Light Hunt?
Nine shareable digital badges — from First Light to Light Bearer for finding all twelve — plus Scripture at every station. There are no prizes or discounts; the badges are images you can post anywhere.
Will the Light Hunt happen again?
The 2026 Light Hunt is complete. Plans for the next festival, including whether the Light Hunt returns, will be shared when the next Jesus Festival is announced.
